Thames Boat Hire

London has its fans and its critics, those that call the place soulless and those that say they wouldn't live anywhere else. There is one thing about the city that nobody can deny however, it's absolutely massive and if you like London the amount of things to see might as well be infinite if you only plan on spending a day there. This is because you could easily spend a week in London, go sightseeing eight hours a day and still not run out of things to see. I think that one of the best ways to see as much as you can of London within a limited period of time is to consider Thames boat hire.

You would be surprised at just how big the Thames actually is and how many crucial London landmarks can be reached by simply floating along it and stopping where you see something you would like to do. For a start there are the Theme Parks that London is famous for. While a lot of stupid people will tell you all about how much your kids will love them, they often forget to say how much you will enjoy them. In my opinion the best is Thorpe Park conveniently located very near the Thames and it is home to the famous Nemesis, Inferno and Saw rides. These are more than capable of terrifying any adult in fact I'm not entirely sure that kids should be allowed go on them. I'm a grown man and I was pretty much traumatized.

Of course should you want something a little more respectable than a theme park, a boat ride along the Thames happens to pass quite a few historical landmarks. For a start there is Hampton Court Palace with its spectacular Grand Hall located in the Tudor building not to mention the gardens that are big enough to get lost in. There is also Windsor Castle to be enjoyed, on the very small chance that you are not aware this is where the Queen lives and whenever she is inside the flag is raised. There is also Bray Film Studios to be enjoyed. This is located practically on the banks of the Thames and you can wonder around the studio grounds where the popular TV series Morse was filmed. And of course, being London where there is a river there is a cafe, so there are numerous places to just stop off and watch the world go by.

So in conclusion, I have lived in London for many years and I know that to experience the entire city in a day is pretty much impossible. However if you want to give yourself the best possible chance and arguably see the best that the city has to offer, I strongly advise you to give Thames boat hire a lot of consideration. It may well lead to memories that you will treasure forever.
